Josephine opened its doors in 2008 on Avenida Desembargador Hugo Simas. For almost two decades, we have focused on a single thing: helping women and men find intimates, loungewear and beachwear they feel genuinely good in. Our selection favors fit, fabric and finishing over passing trends.
Our shop has a staff that greets regulars by name, a changing area with proper lighting, and a seasonal rotation that follows the Brazilian climate rather than the European calendar. Most of what we sell is picked up in person, and that direct relationship with the people who wear our pieces is what we build the business around.

We work from a single address on Avenida Desembargador Hugo Simas, 1149. Everything the brand carries moves through this one shop, which is also where our team is based.
Buying, display, fitting and after-sales are handled by our own staff. We work directly with Brazilian manufacturers and importers of intimates and beachwear, choosing a smaller catalog with more care rather than a wide one that nobody can really stand behind.
We fit every bra in person. Our staff is trained to measure, to listen and to say no to a piece that will not sit right by the end of the day. A good fit is the single thing that decides whether a customer comes back.
We stay a two-owner shop with a small team because that is the scale at which we can actually know the brands, the fabrics and the people who come through the door. Returning customers tend to stay for years, and that is the business we want to run.
